Preheat the oven to 210°C.
Mix the softened butter with the flour and baking powder.
Add in the egg, then mix.
Add the cheese (cut into small pieces) and the roughly crushed hazelnuts.
Drop teaspoonfuls of the dough onto a greaseproof-lined baking tray.
Slightly flatten each spoonful to form scones.
Bake for 10 to 15 minutes at 210°C.
